About the Glissando Foam Mattress
The Glissando Foam Mattress features a unique two-layer foam construction which creates a gliding layer. This patented gliding layer allows the bottom layer to stay in place with the bed, while the top layer moves with the patient’s adjustment. The top foam layer is castellated, essentially created as a grid so that it flexes and bends. Because this top layer glides and moves with the patient, it greatly reduces friction and shear while increasing patient comfort. Additionally, built-in sidewall supports facilitate patient ingress and egress.
This mattress comes with a fluid-resistant cover which helps to protect the foam. The cover’s zipper is completely concealed for a streamlined, finished appearance. With its 500-pound weight capacity, this mattress is an excellent choice for many patients. It is available in three lengths – 76”, 80”, and 84” – making it a versatile option for patient care.
The Glissando Foam Mattress is affordable enough to be a great choice for many patient care situations. It can help to improve patient comfort during long periods of time in bed. Weighing just 32 pounds, this mattress is easy to move around and is ideal for a home care setting.
Why the Glissando Foam Mattress Is Right for You
