Mepitel® Ag is an antimicrobial soft wound contact layer featuring Safetac® technology. It gently adheres to the skin, minimizing trauma to the wound bed and surrounding skin, as well as reducing pain during dressing removal.
Mepitel Ag provides antimicrobial activity within 4 hours and continues for up to 8 days (in vitro). The dressing’s open structure allows effective fluid drainage, such as wound exudate, into the secondary absorbent dressing. It can be left in place during outer dressing changes, potentially extending wear time and enhancing patient comfort compared to traditional dressings.

When to Use Mepitel Ag:
Mepitel Ag is indicated for managing a wide range of exuding wounds, including skin tears, abrasions, sutured or surgical wounds, partial thickness burns, partial and full-thickness grafts, lacerations, diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, and arterial ulcers.
The dressing contains silver sulphate, which acts as a preservative to help inhibit or reduce microbial growth on the dressing
